Google API Services

BenchHero uses Google API Services to provide authentication and calendar integration features. This section describes how we access, use, store, and share Google user data.

Data We Access from Google

When you use Google services with BenchHero, we may access:

• Basic profile information (name and email address) - used for account creation and identification when you sign in with Google
• Google Calendar access (calendar.events scope) - used only to create, update, and delete BenchHero team events in your Google Calendar when you enable calendar sync

How We Use Google Data

We use Google user data solely for the following purposes:

• Authentication: To verify your identity and create your BenchHero account
• Calendar Synchronization: To write team events from BenchHero to your Google Calendar so you can see your team's schedule alongside your other commitments

Important: We do NOT read your existing Google Calendar events. We only write BenchHero team events to your calendar.

How We Store Google Data

To maintain your calendar connection, we securely store OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens. These tokens are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption. We do not store your Google password.

Data Sharing and Limited Use

BenchHero's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We commit to the following:

• We do NOT sell your Google data to third parties
• We do NOT use your Google data for advertising purposes
• We do NOT share your Google data with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., communicating with Google APIs)
• We do NOT use your Google data to develop or improve unrelated products
• We limit our use of Google data to providing and improving BenchHero's core functionality

Revoking Google Access

You can disconnect your Google Calendar integration at any time from your BenchHero account settings. This will:

• Stop BenchHero from creating or updating events in your Google Calendar
• Delete our stored access and refresh tokens for your Google account

You can also revoke BenchHero's access directly from your Google Account permissions page.

Data Retention and Deletion

When you delete your BenchHero account, we will delete all stored Google tokens and any associated data within 30 days. Events previously created in your Google Calendar will remain unless you delete them manually.

Children's Privacy

BenchHero is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
